Allergies & Modifications
Nisei can accommodate most severe allergies with advance notice; however, given the tasting menu format, we can’t meet all preferences or aversions. To preserve the intent of the cuisine, the following items cannot be removed:
- Salt, sugar, soy sauce, egg cooked into items
- Trace amounts of alliums, mushrooms, ginger
- Seaweed, cooked-off alcohol, vinegar
Please contact us at least 48 hours before your reservation to confirm we can safely prepare your menu. Same-day changes may not be possible. For very severe or multiple restrictions, email us to ensure a safe modification plan.

Please allow at least 3 hours to enjoy the tasting menu at a comfortable pace. If you’re on a tighter schedule, text or call us in advance and we’ll do our best to adjust the cadence.

Cancellations
Deposits & Changes
Once purchased, deposits are non-refundable. If your plans change, we’re happy to reschedule you to another available date, or you may transfer the deposit to another diner.
Dress Code
What to Wear
Guests are encouraged to dress with casual elegance or cocktail attire—many tables are celebrating, and the room rewards a little sparkle.
Policy on Children
Age & Experience
Due to the length and quiet ambiance of the tasting experience, we do not accommodate children under 12 unless they’re able to enjoy the full tasting menu. Many guests are marking special occasions and appreciate an uninterrupted evening—thank you for understanding.
Late Arrivals
Grace Period
We hold your table for up to 15 minutes. After that window, your table may not be guaranteed, though we’ll do our best to accommodate you upon arrival.
Parking
Valet & Tips
We don’t offer valet at this time, and neighborhood parking can be challenging. Please plan a few extra minutes for street parking or rideshare drop-off.
